DC snowboards 2010/2011

DC has absolutely stepped it up for this upcoming year. I first saw the boards at SIA and after flexing them, talking tech. I knew that I had to give these another shot. In years past, I had always ridden at least 1 DC at the demo's, and was always left disappointed. NOT this time... We were really beyond impressed with the boards. Tons of personality in each model. A very well segmented line with something for everybody.
DC Devun Walsh-
This was the standout for me from DC. This board charged through everything I rode it through. Regular, switch, it didnt matter. Extremely stable, poppy, and turns on a dime. The flex is a bit stiffer than I usually ride, but that was a plus for a board intended to ride everything on the mountain. I cant wait to ride this on a legit powder day! This board retails for $500.00, but in my opinion well worth it. I tend to shy away from the $500 categories, but this was a winner. More tech specs coming as we dive deeper into this....

2010/2011 Snowboard Reveiws: Arbor

The 2011 lineup for Arbor snowboards is impressive. While I dont think that graphically they are very strong, the boards are amazing. Arbor continues to gain momentum in the "freestyle" market while remaining a top dog in the freeride category. A couple of new tweaks here and there to some of their staples. We will start one at a time. The big winners for us were....
Arbor Formula-
This is tagged as a somewhat enrty-level board, or where the boards start in their line. This season, it is offered in both cambered and reverse cambered. We rode the reverse cambered version and I must say, it was a big surprise. At a whopping $299 retail, this could prove to be the best bang for the buck out of ANY company. Beau, one of our team riders, had this ranked at around number one out of all of the boards he tried. A surprising fact for a board at this price. Its a fun, easy to ride twin tip. With the new reverse camber and griptech edges, it was a very playful board perfect for a lighter rider, or anybody who wants a softer, jibby board. The standout was the stability of this board. A stable, fun $299 board?? Yes indeed. Our best bargain buy of the year. The graphic was the only downside for us, but who cares about a graphic when a board rides like this.

yahoo! Blindside is coming to you!

Hello everybody. My name is Jon and I am the owner of Blindside in Colorado Springs. We are an independent, local rider owned snowboard, ski, and skateboard shop. I wanted to create a blog for the consumers. I will be teaming up with a few people to create feedback on product testing. I figure this is a really easy way for people to get another unbiased opinion on different products throughout the snowboard, ski, and skateboard world. I have to admit, this is shaped from another blogger named shayboarder who offers some of the raddest feedback on different products out there. So, first things first, thanks Shay for inspiring me to also inform the masses. Please subscribe to this blog if you are interested. We will hit the ground running with 2011 Rossignol reveiws coming to you later next week. We will be on snow for a private demo and will ride everything in their line. We are stoked to be starting this blog as none of the people involved are paid by anybody, or biased in any way. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to do this, and to further connect with each other. Please tell your friends!
